HM Treasury today formally launches the Women in Finance Charter and publishes the founding signatories, of which ionStar is one.
72 organisations from across the spectrum have signed the Charter. Firms from Aviva to Virgin, representing more than 500,000 staff, have committed to promote gender balance within their organisations, particularly in senior positions. All signatory firms will today be attending a special event at Barclays Accelerator, jointly hosted by HM Treasury, Virgin Money, Circle and Barclays.
As signatories, we have agreed to benchmark key metrics within our businesses and publically report on progress to ensure transparency and accountability.
For its part, ionStar tracks and will publish the proportion of women in our network and we will develop – and publish – additional metrics around how women in our network are engaged.
A major source of the talent within our network are the same women who have historically been disenfranchised by the traditional rigidities of corporate life. We therefore wholly support the Women in Finance Charter and are proud to be leading the way, pushing the gender diversity conversation forward.
ionStar is an innovative consultancy which delivers compliance solutions to financial services firms. We harness the talents of independent, experienced compliance professionals to work on a project basis for our clients. Our consultants work both flexibly and remotely and are judged on their output, not their time sat at a desk. The Women in Finance Charter mirrors our own values and goals.
