We are delighted to announce that ionStar’s founder, Liz Hughes, has been recognised as one of Brummell magazine’s Top 30 Inspirational Women: City Innovators.
Brummell recognise those who have shown an innovative approach to the way they think and work. They received more than 100 nomination packs and had to whittle it down to the TOP 30 who would be a true inspiration to women (and men) throughout the City.
Liz was recognised for her innovative, flexible business model which helps retain and re-engage compliance professionals who are seeking a healthy work/life balance. Liz is a champion of flexible working and gender diversity. She is addressing one of the biggest issues in financial services which is the lack of female pipeline leading directly to board level. ionStar help retain that talent in the market by giving them the flexibility that they desire.
Liz champions gender diversity through her board role with Women in Banking and Finance. Her firm, ionStar, were one of the first firms to sign the HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter which reflects the government’s intention to reach a stand where gender balance is apparent at all levels across financial services industry which benefits customers, profitability and work place culture.
